BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

A Surface Textiles for Fashion student specializing in embroidery and embellishment. ‘Medicate Me’ is a high-end ready to wear womenswear collection, designed with the intention of retailing during Spring/Summer 2014. This collection demonstrates the collision of contemporary and traditional approaches to medicine, through the exploration of Native American culture and advances in scientific medicine. The collection draws upon a textile tradition, and transforms it to demonstrate a clinical aesthetic which will appeal to the contemporary consumer.
