BA (Hons) Fashion: Hair and Make-up (Top Up)

As an alumni (2011) pursuing an academic route I have been able to employ new and challenging methods, progression, values, purpose, manner in the development and course of practice. My creativity was stretched outside the box. I have been able to identify new relating subjects, which lead me onto the next steps in my future career. I don’t believe my learning ends with the BA, there are many areas I’ve yet to consider and develop. I look forward to encountering many new ideas in my future personal and professional development, and will be able to draw on and apply the knowledge and skills I’ve learned through out the Fda and BA when addressing them. My next steps, on completion of the course, are to assist top make artists and to gain an internship at an editorial magazine or a production company, while simultaneously running an online fashion magazine. This is just a snippet of my work. My aspirations as a make-up artist are never limited and my aim is to progress to success. http://terezabila.blogspot.com/ Nominee for London College of Fashion Joshua Galvin Award 2011 Work Credits: PHOTOGRAPHERS: Angelo Pennetta Benjamin Kaufman Michiel Meewis David Yeo Jonny Storey Alejandro Cavallo Felicity Ingram Campaigns: Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton (Assisting) Clients: All Saints ASOS Topshop Schuh Sleek Cosmetics Goldwell Aveda Mint Velvet Next Uniliver Clear Shampoo XXX The Extra Strong Mints Plenty Rocca De La Diversion Mojo Grazia (Assisting) Magazines: Vogue Paris (Assisting) Elle Sunday Times Style Magazine 125 Magazine Lula Volt Cafe Dazed Digital Creative Head Picmix Less Common More Sense La Boheme Magazine Eco Age for Livia Firth LFW / Fashion Shows: Zandra Rhodes Peter Jansen Martina Spetlova Manish Arora Harriet's Muse Bagley Mishka Graduate Fashion Week Afghanistan Aid Fashion Show TV and Film: E4 Camdenites Reality Show Music: Make-up and Costume Art Direction at Film Production.cz 'Zejtra Naporad' Roadmovie “Dutty Funk” Music Video Timmy Vegas featuring Barbara Tucker Chief make-up artist Seventh Sun Music Showcase A&R Management for Chanel 4 Irrepresibles Music Video Nude Celebrities and top models Anais Pouliot Olivia Inge George Lamb Emma Crosby Emma Forbes Katie Hill Naomi Istead Liberty X CONTACT : email: bilatereza@hotmail.com Mobile: 07739863953

K, [HyungTae Kim]. SS 14 - ON THE RUN at BRIGHTON FASHION WEEK. 8 LOOKS Coming more soon. . E-MAIL klothing@hotmail.com "A/W 2013 Generation." A/w 2013 "The idea of K A/w 13 collection is to explore the sensitive relationship between youth-cultures and parental culture." My concept is to look at the contrasts between the themes of 'Father/Tradition, Youth/rebellious and Uniform/War. What inspired me were the memory and feelings I had when I was an adolescent boy. The memory of trying my Father's clothes is unforgettable. What remains deep inside of me is the feeling of warmth and comfort. To more accurately describe, it was like wearing a very warm blanket in a very cold and lonely winter. This feelings got stronger when I was trying his military jacket. I wanted to deliver that feeling of warmness of oversized khaki fabrics whilst having the adolescent boy's rebelliousness attitude that I had as I grow up, as his jacket getting smaller."Hyung tae Kim’s was also great – it was a very good season.” Backpacks featured strongly in a great deal of collections, particularly in Kim’s who presented low-slung oversized backpacks combined with large, long coats that looked reminiscent of ‘typical’ father’s clothing but with a younger fresher vibe" - Hilary Alexander Academic London College of Fashion 2009 -2012 BA(Hons) FDT Menswear FT Northumbria University 2006-2009 BA(Hons)FDT Fashion Design Foundation Degree Work Experience Reworked [london] 2009 - 2011 [VINTAGE, ARMY CLOTHE REWORKED SHOP] ASSIATANT Diorasa 2007-2008 [Tailor shop] TAILOR ASSISTANT Press: http://www.glamourmagazine.co.uk/fashion/catwalk/AW2012/ReadyToWear/london/london_college_of_fashion_-_ba/full-length-photos -http://www.gomoneyways.com/?p=65953 -http://jaci-mag.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/untitled-ss-2013-mens-collection-acne.html -http://www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/2012/live/ -http://disordermagazine.com/lcfs-upcoming-talent/style/ -http://www.flickr.com/photos/53179772@N06/7490122378/ -http://fashionstyleology.com/hyung-tae-kim-k-aw-2013-lcf-ba-show/ -http://blogs.fashion.arts.ac.uk/snapshot/2012/06/29/last-night-in-shoreditch/ -http://nowfashion.com/28-06-2012-london-college-of-fashion-2012-part-1-live-event-event-2256.html -http://www.tatler.com/bystander/events/2012/june/london-college-of-fashion-graduate-show#/7516/image/25 - http://www.catwalking.com/ -http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/autumn-winter-2012/ready-to-wear/london-college-of-fashion-ba/page/7# -http://www.fashion156.com/collections/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-show-2012/ Contact. The title of this project is "Escaping reality by using creative imagination". Research began with the film Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and from there it went on to other films such as Alice in Wonderland, Science of Sleep, Wizard of Oz and more and also into thinking about the childish way of life. How everything is much more relaxed for children and how they don´t put as much boundaries on themselves, their way of thinking and on their imagination as adults do, the importance of letting the inner child out is vital and also the ability to let the imagination free and take you places. NZCA Lines / New Atmosphere

BA (Hons) Costume for Performance

My FMP was a collaboration with the band NZCA Lines on a video for their upcoming single - New Atmosphere. A scientist grieves at the loss of his love during the birth of a new protective atmosphere. Of which they sought together, in our future desolate Earth. Cairo Athens glows in nostalgia and unrestrained abandon, on the other side of the physical and moral world. In Cairo Athens we see a controller. She wears a design based on a collapsable structural origami. Constructed from laser cut plastic and aluminium. In hope of a new world, two scientists roam the desolate earth, in atmospheric suits and breathing apparatus, in hope of creating a new atmosphere. I currently work as a freelance costume assistant within TV, film and music. I am currently planning my next project with NZCA Lines, a new video for which I will be art director, while designing and making costumes and set for their live shows. I am interested in art direction and set design as well as costume and was also responsible for all the locations you can see in New Atmosphere.

A bold array of colours embodies this collection, adopting a playful tone to some truly British essentials. Inspired by my own British/Burmese hybrid background, this collection deals with the contrast between hybrid cultures and the truly British. Originally inspired by research into old pictures of my parents in London this collection aimed at capturing a unique interpretation of what it is to be British. Amalgamating the traditionally English trench and duffle coat, with the more modern puffer jacket, in the hopes of creating a hybrid piece that captures the essence of my interpretation of Englishness. BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear

Look Book Location: lightship95 photographer: Sam Copeland Stylist: Sophia Probett models: Greg, Ty @ select and Danny @ lcf st LCF Annual 2013 Photographer, Hype D Creative Direction, Rob Phillips Beauty, Pace Chen  Model, Danny @ LCF St  Press Release The image of pirates conjures up images of childhood icons such as the infamous Captain Hook, Long John Silver or even the more recent Captain Jack Sparrow. However pirates, to some, will conjure up a different image and a very different kind of nautical buccaneer. For SS13 Michaelyn Thomas-Coxon has taken inspiration from dusted off super 8 footage of 60s pirate radio renegades to create a playful and practical debut collection. The joie de vivre mix of bright prints, oversized jackets and hidden nickel hardware detailing create a new psychedelic twist on 'nautical'. The collection is highlighted by the use of bright hues and kaleidoscopic floral acid prints. The vivid rust red and teal compliment murkier tones of blue grey, navy, green, peach and yellow, to form a vibrant balance of colours reminiscent of 60s photographs and still Super 8 images. The print which draws from acid rock album covers and vintage prints, adorns simple staple pieces such as t-shirts, trousers, shirts and bags, generating warm layers of interest through out the collection. Michaelyn has also designed and developed her own silicone screen print technique which she has used in acid yellow almost as a highlighter on dry suit style roll neck jumpers. This technique inspired directly by the grip on boats and the rubber of wet and drysuits, shows the experimental nature of her research and extent of personal creative investigation. Her outerwear garments have been carefully designed using technical fabrics and techniques to ensure practicality as well as a strong aesthetic. Chrome nautical fastenings have cleverly been integrated into the designs adding interesting details which compliment the simple shapes of the outerwear pieces. Frosted vinyl pieces add a layer of translucence, generating an alluring array of textures and colours. The collection has a ready for anything vibe, illustrated clearly in the moving images lookbook. http://issuu.com/michaelynthomas-coxon/docs/blow_me__ss13 http://issuu.com/michaelynthomas-coxon/docs/workbook_mthomas-coxon Press: http://blog.trendstop.com/2013/05/gfw-ones-to-watch-michaelyn-thomas-coxon/ http://www.mixmag.net/fashion/fashion-news/eyes-wide-open-for-michaelyn-thomas-coxon http://milkandblue.com/following/sophiaprobett.com/Michaelyn-Thomas-Coxon-SS14-Look-Book http://blog.stylesight.com/denim/isko-x-london-college-of-fashion

Jumper detail: textile collaboration with Brogan Toyn, for

BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Surface Textiles

Zoe is a London based textile designer, specialising in embroidered textiles for both Menswear and Womenswear. She flourishes in a creative environment and is constantly engaging in opportunities to expand and enhance an innate artistic flair. A strong attraction to decoration and an acute awareness of colour and aesthetics, stem from Zoe's intrinsic desire to enhance and develop a fun, uplifting and energetic embroidery style, drawing on aspects of global cultures both old and new. In particular, Zoe is extremely passionate about colour, constantly seeking inspiration to manipulate and embellish a wide range of vibrant and exuberant textile materials. Zoe's FMP collection, is inspired by 60s nostalgia and children's artwork, targeting the older customer. It aims to regenerate fabric surfaces that are beautiful and alluring, through her love of colour and abstract illustration style. As an individual, Zoe loves working with other designers, in order that her textiles can meet a wider audience: womenswear student Man Yim and Zoe, have recently collaborated for their FMP photoshoot. In addition, within her graduate collection Zoe has collaborated with Menswear student Brogan Toyn for ‘Jamaican me Crazy’. The collection, an eccentric yet sensational , SS2013 sportswear range, has been selected for the LCF Press Show. The textiles for ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ further reflect Zoe’s ability to cater for a wide customer base and showcase her unconventional style towards textile design. Reversing the constraints on gender, ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ is a rebellion against frequently used homophobic dancehall lyrics, inspired by the controversial musical style and promiscuity of Jamaica's Dancehall Queens. The textiles are tactile and enticing, with soft rainbow furs creeping along the edges of garments. In turn, tight crotches are emphasized by brilliantly printed and metallic lurex fabrics, with surges of complex mark making forming these prints. Bedazzling, sequined crop tops emphasize an outlandish street style, contradicting urban aesthetics. In addition, references to dancehall contemporaries in the hip hop genre, are portrayed through basketball shorts engulfed in colour and the sparkle of iridescent fabrics. Zoe’s sensitivity towards colour is portrayed here, through applying heat pressed patterns and disperse dyes to fabrics. This enables the juxtapositions of colour to be an important focus within the collection. Red or black are often familiarised with promiscuity, however, avoiding seedy connotations ‘Jamaican me Crazy’ adopts modest, pastel hues. These effectively distract from potentially erotic undertones, and encourage the energy of the dancehall for both onlooker and wearer. FdA Cordwainers Footwear Design

Bridie is a recent graduate of the FDA Cordwainer's footwear design course. Key inspiration for the collection is drawn from Jacques Tati’s film Play Time. Made in 1967, surrounding the humorous confusion created by the interaction of quick changing technologies. '-Lost in the maze of modern architecture - filled with the latest technical gadgets.’ This concept has been translated through the construction of the shoes; presenting a functional, casual shoe that is structurally engaging and minimal.

Rebecca Morter is a london based fashion Designer born in Auckland, New Zealand, expecting to graduate with Honours in BA Fashion Design and Development this coming July 2013. Rebecca’s New Zealand Heritage filters into her work, founded upon New Zealand’s unusual natural resources combined with a contemporary design approach. In 2011, Rebecca won the contract to design the restaurant uniforms for the london 2012 Olympic games, runner-up to designing a collection of dresses for Whistles in 2011 and most recently, shortlisted for the Deutsche Bank awards 2013. In 2012, Rebecca spent eight months working within the Ready-to-wear design team at Alexander Wang, as well as other design work experience with Simone Rocha, Paul Costelloe, and John Lewis’s new range; Weekend, where Rebecca designed the first inhouse jewellery collection. My work celebrates the female form, and I find myself continuously playing with the idea of revealing, but at the same time concealing the body. Leathers will always play a leading role due to my new zealand heritage, and somewhat due to my recent work experience with the design team at Alexander wang. An amalgamation between the lightest of fabrics with heavier, grainy, dense leathers. For all enquiries please contact me at r.morter@hotmail.com

The inspiration behind this collection is connected to my Italian roots and my childhood memories. Exploring my Catholic heritage as well as religious beliefs and traditional celebrations, allowed me to create a modern and contemporary collection. The aim of my work is to celebrate the value of past memories, indispensable to establish the present and revive the future. The visual imagery I collected is mainly related to the Christian iconography as well as to the elderly people and their attitude to engage with religion in later life. The final outcome is the meeting point of juxtaposing elements: tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity, fragility and strength. The colors are mainly drawn from the Christian iconography and visual representation of the Virgin Mary: the choice of fun, bright and loud shades contributed to the creation of a bold wardrobe composed of voluminous silhouettes and an injected dose of modernity. The visual references I chose for my color palettes belong to a series of images called “infinita Gracias” taken from www.flickr.com, a sort of visual collection related to Christian symbols: electric blue, gold, orange, yellow and pastel pink were my main inspiration which enabled me to create an innovative and non-conventional winter palette. The bold and almost three-dimensional silhouettes are the result of my deep interest in structured, complex and detailed garments as well as my fascination of creative and innovative pattern cutting. My passion for collage also helped the creation and development of my garments and in the specific to the creation of the voluminous shoulder line, which is definitely the highlight of my work. The choice of cloths as well as the fabric manipulation helped my collection to reach a modern and contemporary finish line: bright orange and blue cashmere together with shiny stretch silks were emphasized by the addition of topstitching and quilting as well as mink fur details sponsored by Saga Furs. The aim of my final collection is to combine strong awareness in contemporary trends as well as fine technical skills. The revisited craft tradition of the quilting technique together with the exceptional choice of timeless fabrics such as wool cashmere, stretch silks and mink fur satin are the signature of my final work. My ideal customer is an independent and sophisticated woman, ready to present herself to the world in a non-conventional way. The voluminous shapes and intricate topstitching details clearly show a luxurious and exclusive taste. PROFILE Highly creative fashion designer with excellent hand drawing and visual skills. Dynamic and organised team player with well-developed written and verbal communications abilities, capable to quickly adapt within a high-pressured environment. "The local outsider" The story starts from a 75 minute long awareness-raising documentary about Lao Hmong and my personal feelings after a Paris vacation in 2012. "Hunted Like Animals" was filmed by refugees who fled from Laos to Thailand. It explains what the military inside of Laos did to them, while they were running and hiding, half starved, from the attacks by the soldiers ~ over 30 years after the Vietnam War ended Link:http://www.sommerfilms.org/documentaries/Hmong/index.php Have you ever been trapped by Roma in a gold ring scam? I became concerned about the reasons behind it after I encountered more than eight Roma scam artists in one day. I started to reflect upon the poor living standards, negative social stereotypes and even enforced removal from their homes that this community suffers from. In order to express my concerns and raise public awareness "The local outsider" was born. A collection to promote ethnic harmony by increasing the profile of two oppressed minorities - Laos Hmong and EU-Roma. I have recently collaborated with Zoe Sterling for the Final Major Project photo shoot. Zoe's collection is based on 60s nostalgia and children's artwork. BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery

Maria is a London based fashion jewellery designer, who graduated The London College of Fashion (2013) with a BA in Fashion Jewellery. Originally Maria took a foundation course at Central St Martin's in Art and Design, where she intended to embark on a career in Women's wear. However after some mentoring and self realization, Maria discovered that her true passion and talents were in jewellery design. During her time spent at LCF Maria developed her own style of design based on organic life and shapes taken from nature, combined with a mystical element of life forms from outer space. This unique combination led to a creative final project which she is very proud to present. Through experimentation Maria learned to use digital technology such as rapid prototyping, which enabled her to create the pieces that she had envisaged. Maria's graduate collection was inspired by nature and a curiosity of what lies beneath in the ocean together with the same curiosity for what exists beyond planet Earth. The final pieces are based on a mythical sea creature which was made with black lacquered plastic and Swarovski crystals. email: mariasokolyanskaya@gmail.com 1. http://digits2widgets.wordpress.com/2013/07/04/d2w-in-camden-town-launch-night/ 2. http://blog.trendstop.com/2013/05/gfw-ones-to-watch-maria-sokolyanskaya/ 3. http://institutemag.com/2013/07/05/magic-touch/

Designing a set of five tops; same cut, different fabric, I overlaid my illustrations on top to synchronise these together. ± SS/13 COLLECTION TOPS + ILLUSTRATION - Holley Potts PHOTOGRAPHY - Tamzin Haughton HAIR + MAKEUP - Scarlett Burton STORM MODEL - Annie Walker-Trafford STYLIST - Elle Baron VIDEOGRAPHER - Calvin Hayes ± AW/13 - Researching how chemical substances were originally used medicinally, but now widely taken for recreational use, I looked at today’s underground music scene. Taking inspiration ranging from the early Opium Dens. The vivid hues of the high and the dark greys of the lows gave me a colour distortion which is reflected in my silk digital prints. ± AW/13 COLLECTION LOOKBOOK PHOTOGRAPHY - Tamzin Haughton HAIR + MAKEUP - Marie Bruce MODEL - Rachel Christianos STYLIST - Rita Shi ± AW/13 COLLECTION LINE UP PHOTOGRAPHY - Hanna Hillier HAIR + MAKEUP - Amber Pitkin MODEL - Amber Pitkin ± INTERNING Richard Nicoll May 2012 - July 2012 Giles Deacon November 2011 - March 2012 Selfridges: Marketing Department July 2007 - August 2007 ± ACHIEVEMENTS The Shoreditch Fashion Show 2013 Photography by Vytautas Dranginis ± FEATURED Bright Young Things 2013 - http://www.clothesshowlive.com/page.cfm/link=130 W Magazine - http://weareselecters.com/2013/04/holley-potts-aw13-collection/ Kaltblut Magazine - http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/april-illyj-and-pipa/ Nou Magazine - http://www.noumagazine.com/you-say-ball-i-say-lets/ The Savy Dresser - http://thesavvydresser.wordpress.com/interview/

the disguise of the girls it is about love - it is about strangeness - it is about innocence - it is about playfulness The SS14 collection is inspired primarily by Charles Manson’s cult of brainwashed girls and combined with the concept of the masquerade, the savagery of African and European fancy dresses and the folklore of Frida Kahlo. It links the competing notions of raw and pretty, oversized and adjusted, opaque and transparent, weird and feminine, and dark and innocent. The Manson girls’ identity is given to the identity-less of the masquerade to hide, to change, to obscure and to deceive into a disguise. x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x Education London College of Fashion - 2010-2013 BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology - Womenswear Lasalle College - Montreal, Canada - 2006-2009 Technical diploma - Design, pattern-cutting and dressmaking Work Experience Erdem, London, UK - 05.2012 - 08.2012 Sample room assistant William Richard Green, London, UK - 07.2011 - 10.2011 Studio assistant Rudsak - Montreal, Canada - 06.2009 - 08.2010 Designer Credits LCF BA 2013 press show embroidery/natasha searls-punter - photograhy/VogueUK LCF's 2013 press show preview embroidery/natasha searls-punter - photography/james rees - creative direction/rob phillips - beauty/pace chen - model/laura O’Grady at select model management (verve) untitled embroidery/natasha searls-punter - model/mai stl the disguise of the girls photography/mark blower - beauty/jin ong - muse/christie corbally at nevs F&F embroidery/natasha searls-punter - hat/daniel service - creative direction/rob phillips - photography/kasia wozniak - beauty/pace chen - muse/katharina at M+P i-D creative direction/rob phillips - photography/anthony john sayer - beauty/pace chen - muse/ines bizarro braided denim photography/chienYi wu - beauty/yura do - model/andrea chovanova at premier Press LCF 2013 ANNUAL issuu.com/london_college_of_fashion/docs/sdt-annual-2013 LCF BA 2013 press show www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/2013/live/ Fashion156 www.fashion156.com/daily-blog/london-college-of-fashion-class-of-2013-catwalk-show/ Interview - www.fashion156.com/daily-blog/f156-graduate-showcase-week-roxanne-leger/ Womenswear award - www.fashion156.com/daily-blog/f156-graduate-showcase-week-awards/ Vogue UK Review - www.vogue.co.uk/news/2013/07/02/london-college-of-fashion-ba-graduate-show Vogue UK 127-137 www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/spring-summer-2014/ready-to-wear/london-college-of-fashion-ba/full-length-photos/gallery/1004220 Triptyque Interview - www.agencetriptyque.com/entrevue-roxanne-leger/
